Your meant to rest and counter the weight/pressing of the 6 buttons distribution. When you angle your pinky and point it inwards you can use buttons 4 to 9 without effecting your mouse position.... And as for your dislike to the mouse will your nuts lol, but we'll call that individual preference 😊

7-year short review: still using the mouse, everything works, but the side buttons aren't as clicky any more and most of them got loose in their place. Not a big problem as they still work just downgrade in user experience. Sometimes some side buttons need a little extra force, but that's 7 years of usage I guess. Main buttons still remain clicky (left one just slightly less, but not mushy at all), scroll works very well and general condition of the mouse seems ok. The plastic matte finish is wearing out and even getting a bit rubbery (plastic disintegrates over time), but again nothing too bad. Paid 17$ on aliexpress for it 7 years ago and there's just no better value than this.

It was a great little bit of equipment. Unfortunately Apple no longer carried the app, and the iOS 16 installed it won,t even work if you had the app installed already . That means it’s useless with any modern iPad. I don't know whether it's still usable with an iPhone, or if the AppStore for the iPhone still carries the app. I rather doubt it.
